löysin tämän oppaa osotteests www.ffwa.org joten se EI ole oma tekemäni. Siinä kuitenkin kerrotaan aika yksityiskohtaisesti mitä pitää tehdä että saa hahmoista tehtyä super vahvoja. Toivottavasti tästä on apua.
First off, I DO NOT suggest doing any Stat Maximization until you have control of the Airship after Zanarkand. As this will ensure that you have a general understanding of the Sphere Grid, and understand the need of stats, and how they are essential to game play.
Second, this guide is for those who want to have 255 in all core stats and 999 for MP, and around 67,000 HP, as that is the best that the Sphere Grid will give you when completed this way. “Core Stats” being: Strength, Defense, Magic, Magic Defense, Agility, Luck, Evasion, and Accuracy.
The Sphere Grid
Now, I will go over a very basic Sphere Grid overview, so that you can roughly guess how many nodes there are, and how long this may take you to do.
At the very beginning of the game, the Sphere Grid has the following Nodes:
500 Stat Nodes- these are comprised of +1, +2, +3, and +4 nodes of all varieties. Use Power, Mana, Speed, and Fortune Spheres to unlock these.
191 Empty Nodes- these are just blank nodes on the Grid.
11 Level One Locks- these are Locked Nodes on the Grid. Use a Level One Key sphere to unlock this.
10 Level Two Locks- these are Locked Nodes on the Grid. Use a Level Two Key sphere to unlock this.
15 Level Three Locks- these are Locked Nodes on the Grid. Use a Level Three Key sphere to unlock this.
24 Level Four Locks- these are Locked Nodes on the Grid. Use a Level Four Key sphere to unlock this.
36 Skill/Special Nodes- these are Nodes with Special Abilities or Skills (Quick Hit, Silence Attack, Steal, Lancet, etc.). Use an Ability Sphere to unlock these.
22 White Magic Nodes- these are Nodes with White Magic (Cure, Cura, Curaga, Scan, Life, etc.). Use an Ability Sphere to unlock these.
19 Black Magic Nodes- these are Nodes with Black Magic (Fire, Blizzard, Demi, Ultima, etc.). Use an Ability Sphere to unlock these.
When you add all these up, we get a Grand Total of 828 Nodes on the Sphere Grid! This will come in handy later, so don’t forget about it!
Now, in order to Max out your Core Stats, you must fill the empty nodes with +4 of the Core Stat Nodes. Now, with only 191 empty spaces, you aren’t going to get very far. But, that is where Clear Spheres come into play! With the Clear Spheres, you are able to “delete” all of the useless Nodes, which are +1, +2, and +3 Nodes for Core Stats, and the +200 HP and +10, +20, +30(there are a few of these, I think) MP Nodes, leaving you with a wonderful 751 empty Nodes to work with!
Note: There are a few +4 nodes of core stats on the Sphere Grid from the beginning. These you want to keep, unless you would like all of one kind of stat in the same area.
Clear Spheres can be bought from the Monster Arena man for 10,000 Gil each, but ONLY after you have unlocked the Ultima Buster, which is a task within itself. So, we start the Monster Capturing portion of Stat Maxing, yes, Monster Capturing.
Monster Capturing
To unlock the Ultima Buster, you must catch 5 of every fiend in Spira. Doing so is not an easy task, but it must be done. So, buy yourself some capturing weapons from the Monster Arena man, and lets start capturing fiends!
First, go to Besaid Isle, and wander around capturing fiends. There are only 3 of them, Dingo, Condor, and Water Flan, so this should be relatively easy. While you are at it, go ahead and Capture 10 of each of them. This will save you time when trying to unlock Nemesis, trust me.
After Besaid, work your way through the locations, capturing monsters as you go. An easy way to do this, I found out, is to take a piece of paper and a writing utensil. Now, go to the Monster Arena man and talk to him. Choose Fight Monsters, and then look in each list. Now, write down the name of any fiend that you don’t have 5 or more captured, and write down how many you need. (I.E., you have 2 Ghosts from the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. So you would write:
Cavern of the Stolen Fayth
Ghost- 3
Now, as you capture the fiends, reduce the amount you need, until you have how many you need. This keeps you from having to check in on the Monster Arena man to see how many you need to capture.
As you are going around capturing fiends, you are unlocking other monsters in the Monster Arena, many of which are needed to max out your stats, so keep on Capturing! Remember, Gotta Catch ‘em all!
After you have caught at least 5 of each fiend, make your way back to the Monster Arena. Go through the long list of Creations that you helped him create, until he has no more left. Look and check for the following Creations: (You MUST have these to continue, if you don’t, keep on Capturing Monsters!)
Kottos- he drops 40 (!) of an item when you Overkill him, 20 when you don’t. This is the man to see with Distillers when you run out of Power, Mana, and Speed Spheres.
Don Tonberry- the AP King! This will be the way to activate all those shiny new nodes that we create!
Fenrir- he drops Agility Spheres when you kill him.
Pteryx- he drops Evasion Spheres when you kill him.
Hornet- he drops Accuracy Spheres when you kill him.
Vidatu- he drops MP Spheres when you kill him.
One-Eye- he drops Magic Defense Spheres when you kill him.
Jumbo Flan- he drops Magic Spheres when you kill him.
Tanket- he drops Defense Spheres when you kill him.
Juggernaut- he drops Strength Spheres when you kill him.
Ironclad- he drops HP Spheres when you kill him.
Earth Eater- he drops Fortune Spheres when you kill him.
Greater Sphere- he drops Luck Spheres when you kill him.
Ultima Buster- he, of course, allows you to buy Clear Spheres to remodel the Grid.
Phew! That’s a long list, but you need them to be able to remodel the Grid the way it should have been done in the first place.
Now, I will take you through a Step-by-Step tutorial on how you actually make the Sphere Grid your new best friend. But, be warned, I have been Maxing Stats for over 50 (!) hours, and am almost complete. But, I do kind of wander around between fighting the above mentioned monsters for Spheres…
Step-by-Step, taking on the Sphere Grid!
Here it is, the tutorial to taking on and mastering the Sphere Grid. Now, grab your PS2 controller, plug in FFX, and enjoy the ride to eternal happiness!
Oh, by the way, things that are required to go further:
At least 1 character MUST have their Celestial Weapon unlocked! I prefer Rikku or Auron, because theirs are easy to unlock, as is Yuna’s.
All your characters armors are recommended, but not necessary, to have the Auto-Haste ability. This is very helpful, I recommend getting it. (Bribe Machea 360,000 for 40 Chocobo Wings, 80 are needed for Auto-Haste.)
Most of your characters should have the Quick Hit ability. This will save you much aggravation. Used in conjunction with Auto-Haste, this is a godly ability.
At least one character must have Auto-Phoenix equipped I their armor. This will help when someone happens to die. (Mega Phoenix x20 for Auto-Phoenix)
The characters with Celestial weapons will obviously have Break Damage Limit, so anyone without Celestial weapons needs this! You get 99 Dark Matters for unlocking Ultima Buster, use these! You also get 2 sometimes for Overkilling any Monster Creation.
And one weapon for each character with the following abilities (not necessary at first, but definitely when you want to move around the grid): Triple AP, Triple Overdrive, Overdrive->AP. No ifs, ands, or buts, this must be done! When the time comes, I will explain how to do this very easily.
Ok, you may notice that this might get a little expensive. Cry, scream, yell, whatever, go to the Omega Ruins and kill Mimics. They are one of the best sources for Gil gaining. I will explain other ways later.
Furthering the information on the Sphere Grid, here is some more:
There are certain nodes on the Grid that are already +4 nodes or +40 MP/+300 HP nodes. Here is the number of each, and an explanation on how many you need for each stat.
On the Grid:
23- Strength +4
12- Defense +4
17- Magic +4
16- Magic Defense +4
21- Agility +4
19- Evade +4
4- Accuracy +4
2- Luck +4
7- MP +40
0- HP +300
Now, to get 255 in a certain stat, you need to take 255 and divide by 4. (The amount that each +4 sphere gives you). So you get 255/4= 63.75, and rounded up we get 64 of each Stat Sphere needed, but since each character starts out with at least 4 in each stat, we only need 63 of each (and for some strange reason, only 60 for Luck…). But, since there are already some on the grid, you take the difference, and that is how many of each Stat Sphere we REALLY need. It looks more like this:
40- Strength +4
51- Defense +4
46- Magic +4
47- Magic Defense +4
42- Agility +4
44- Evade +4
59- Accuracy +4
58- Luck +4
Now, that is a total of 501 nodes. ( 63*7 +60=501). So, 751-501= 250 nodes for HP and MP. So, to get 999 MP, we only need 18 more nodes, leaving 225 nodes for HP, which is a whopping 67,500 HP (18+7=25 and 250-25=225 and then 225*300=67,500)!
Continuing:
Step 1. Pick three characters to become the only people you will ever see fighting in the Monster Arena for a long time. I used Rikku, Tidus, and Wakka. Yuna may not be a bad idea, but save her for later, trust me.
Step 2. We’ll start with Juggernaut, as he is relatively easy to defeat. Repeated Quick Hits will end his life fast. Keep on killing him until you have 41 Strength Spheres.
Step 3. Now’s the tricky part, putting those Spheres into action! To do so, we will need some Clear Spheres, buy 99 of them. (In the end, you will need roughly around 390 Clear Spheres. Yes, 390, that is 3,900,000 Gil.) Next, shall be the One-Eye, another easy kill. But, for this one, bring in Yuna and summon the Magus Sisters, because you aren’t ready to face him alone yet. What you are looking for, are weapons with Triple AP that he drops, but also with 2 empty slots, for Triple OD and OD->AP, for all those wonderful Sphere Levels you will be needing to go across the Sphere Grid. While killing One-Eye, make sure to get 47 Magic Defense Spheres! Also, if you kill the Ultima Buster, he sometimes drops weapons with all these abilities on them! This is easier than making them yourself, but he takes a few minutes to beat.
Note: Only activate the nodes that you put in with the characters!!! Very important, because when you are ready to take the other charcters through, you must have someone with low HP to do the Don Tonberry Trick!
Step 4. Once you have weapons with the Triple AP, Triple OD, and OD->AP, it is time to gain some SL’s! Equip these on your three fighting characters (Rikku, Tidus, and Wakka), and make sure to set their OD’s to Comrade. Now, go fight Don Tonberry.
Note: This AP trick will NOT work if you haven’t killed a lot of fiends. The more you kill, the more Don Tonberry’s Counterattack, Karma, will do. Try and get this over 50,000.
Now, hit Don Tonberry with the first character to hit. The one with Auto-Phoenix should never hit DT! DT will counterattack, killing the character. Hit him again with the second character, who gets revived again. Now flee. Yes, flee and watch as you get millions of AP (If you are only getting hundreds of thousands, or less, instead of fleeing, keep on hitting him until he dies, this way you get more AP). Also, the higher your max HP, the lower amount of AP you get, so make sure to keep someone low until the very end. You never used Kimahri, right?
Once you have 99 SL’s, choose one of your characters, I prefer Tidus, but that’s just who I am, to go through the Sphere Grid, deleting EVERY node that isn’t a +4, +40, or +300 node. You may have to fight DT consecutive time to complete this, feel free to. But, while you are going along, insert your Strength +4 and your Magic Defense +4 spheres into the grid. When you run out of Strength, Mana, and Speed Spheres, which you will do, go and see Kottos. He drops 20 (40 for an Overkill) of Healing Springs. Just throw a distiller at him and get some spheres instead. When finished, continue to Step 5.
Step 5. Now, fight Tanket to get Defense Spheres. Get 51 of them. With your new Strength stat of 255, this should be easy as pie. Continue on your “Delete and put in New Sphere” quest, with your Defense Spheres and activate them.
Step 6. Next stop is Hornet. Kill him until you get 59 Accuracy Spheres. Keep going on the Grid until all are in place.
Step 7. Pteryx should be no problem, get 44 Evade Spheres from his sorry ass. Once again, fill up the empty spaces of the Grid, deleting what you need to.
Step 8. Fenrir is up now, with that lovely 255 Accuracy, he wont stand a chance. Grab 42 Agility Spheres from him.
Step 9. Vidatu is your next opponent, smack him to get 18 MP Spheres, very simple. You know what to do next.
Step 10. The not-so-hard-but-incredibly-boring-part. Killing the Jumbo Flan is next. I suggest to start out the battle by casting Reflect on a party member, then bouncing a Slow spell off of them to hit Dark Flan (he has Reflect on himself). Now, summon Anima. Have her caste Haste on herself, then continually use Pain until Jumbo Flan dies. Get 47 Magic Spheres, probably the most annoying thing to do. Keep it up on the Grid, just a little bit left to go!
Step 11. This step can be done either before or after Step 12. I prefer before, so you can benefit from the HP, but it is up to you. Now, the long part of the Stat Maxing quest, getting 225 HP Spheres from Ironclad. This is what Turbo Controllers are for, my friends, coupled with Quick Hit! This will take you 3 long sets of 99 HP Spheres, actually just 2 sets of 99 and then 27, to complete. Just one more stat to go! Plug the HP Spheres into the Grid and activate.
Step 12. This is more like 2 steps, but I have condensed them into 1. Now for the Final Stat, Luck. This is the hardest to do, because not only do you need 58 Luck Spheres, but also you need 420 Fortune Spheres (58 for each character) to activate the nodes! And you only get 2 Fortune Spheres each time you fight Earth Eater, ugh!
First, fight the Greater Sphere. I have no real strategy for him, just summon Aeons and deal major damage with them. You will need 58 Luck Spheres. Put them into the Sphere Grid, and get ready to fight the Earth Eater.
Now, you need 420 Fortune Spheres to activate those 58 Luck Spheres for each character. The only way, outside of the few you find around Spira, of getting Fortune Spheres, is to fight and kill the Earth Eater in the Monster Arena. He is a total pain in the ass, so be careful. I suggest summoning an Aeon, and relying on it to kill him. Get the necessary spheres, and complete your Grid!
This last bit will undoubtedly take you a LOOOOONG time, I am still working on it myself, but with the completion of it, you will have the Ultimate Characters!
255 in every Core Stat.
999 MP, and 67,500+ HP.
What, more HP you say? Just create Armor with Break HP Limit, HP +30%, and HP+20% (or HP +10%, your choice), and there you have it, 99,999 HP.
Now you have super, duper characters and are ready to take on any challenge! Nemesis-sy shall fall to these characters, as will any Dark Aeon and Penance (PAL/International versions only, sorry to all us Americans
First off, I DO NOT suggest doing any Stat Maximization until you have control of the Airship after Zanarkand. As this will ensure that you have a general understanding of the Sphere Grid, and understand the need of stats, and how they are essential to game play.
